Margaret Johnston

With over 25 years of experience, Margaret brings valuable insight and knowledge to the recruitment, management and development of high-performance teams for the event industry. A strategic and inspiring leader, Margaret has held executive roles for several global event management companies and key roles in the start up and orchestration of many high profile and international events.

As President of a leading event software development firm she implemented strategic business planning and established a senior leadership team while growing the personnel base and developing operational processes in response to increased business. As Chief Operating Officer for a major medical education firm, Margaret led the organization’s growth overseeing all aspects of personnel and operational development. During her tenure, the company grew to produce over 100 events annually. She has also held key leadership roles in the orchestration of two World Youth Days, a global IBM road show and the launch of Canada’s premier environmental consumer show.

Margaret is a respected leader skilled at managing the needs of multiple public and private stakeholders and building and managing complex infrastructures. She has a great eye for talent and a wealth of experience as a mentor, encouraging and supporting the professional development of personnel at all levels.

Kim Speed

Kim is an award-winning creative talent, with a proven track record producing effective brands, promotions, websites and communications programs. During her career she honed her creative chops in the advertising industry working for clients that include TD Canada Trust, Coca Cola, Labatt’s, Esso, Ford, Canadian Tire and Sears. Kim brought her particular blend of passion and pragmatism to the events industry, where she handled the print and digital creative for the Green Living Show (Toronto and Vancouver), developed the brand identity for TAG, The Aahilley Group – Event Architects, and designed the e-book “Creating the perfect event” by Mark Jeffries.
