Seattle, Washington DESCRIPTION Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Tradeshow/Event Marketing Manager to support third-party events and tradeshows globally. The Event Marketing Manager is an integral part of the Global Events Marketing team who is responsible for planning and executing third-party events, primarily tradeshows and conferences, to increase awareness and drive leads. Some of the shows supported by this role include NRF (National Retail Federation), MWC (Mobile World Congress), HIMMS, VMworld, SAPPHIRE, Gartner Symposium, and other smaller events aligned to key customer segments. In this role, you will plan and execute events targeting a variety of audiences and technologies. Your daily responsibility as a tradeshow/event expert will include working closely with industry, product and solutions marketing managers to identify goals, content, and promotion strategy, manage budgets, and coordinate all logistics. You will utilize exceptional project management skills to manage pre-event reviews, communication, post-event follow-up to optimize lead generation opportunities and determine event ROI, and ensuring all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality event. The ideal candidate will have a track record of running successful events and have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as familiarity with Marketing Automation or CRM tools such as Marketo, Tableau, SalesForce.com or others. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · 5+ years experience in B2B, high-tech products/services. · Experience supporting tradeshows and events in the areas of: Cloud, Big Data, Storage, Database or other technologies and industries. · Experience using Salesforce, Tableau, or marketing automation platforms (e.g. Marketo). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · With exposure to multiple teams, this is a highly-matrixed role, and candidates need to be strategic thinkers, hands on, highly organized, detail-oriented, and have experience in tradeshows and using events as lead generation. · Excel at cross-group collaboration, problem solving and have a bias for action · Very strong project management skills, creative thinking and analytical ability · Demonstrated experience in working with product and lead generation teams, and using events as activity to support awareness, relationship building or lead generation. · Proven success in executing multiple events and using both internal and external resources to accomplish this. · Motivated self-starter who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business · Willing to travel to attend highly strategic events, or to sport-check vendor execution, and ensure processed are being adhered to onsite at tradeshows. · Very strong written and verbal communication · Familiarity with SFDC and Marketo preferred Amazon.com is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Minority / Women / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation.
