Position Overview: The Manager, Event and Arena Marketing position is responsible for driving awareness and ticket sales by developing creative marketing opportunities to promote Capital One Arena (COA) and EagleBank Arena (EBA). Responsibilities: Develop and implement a marketing campaign with advertising, social media, and promotional components to maximize advertising budget and drive ticket sales. Act as the marketing liaison with the promoter and/or show from the on-sale until the conclusion of the event. Develop and execute on-sale events, promotional opportunities within house assets, day of show welcoming activities, and social media engagements for promoters and shows. Focus on growing our reach on all social media outlets. Support the Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) website manager on keeping COA and EBA websites current. Monitor advertising and production spending against budget for each event. Provide post event settlement to include recap on paid advertising, production, group sales, and PR expenses. Review and track marketing invoices for accuracy. Monitor event sales regularly to keep marketing recommendations relevant. Work directly with marketing department for all MSE teams on in-game cross promotional opportunities for events. Maintain the give-aways and promotions schedule for all teams. Coordinate marketing schedule and programming within house assets. Support the development of creative materials to best promote COA and EBA both locally, nationally, and in trade publications. Work with box office personnel on ticketing questions, special offers, promotions, holds and complimentary ticket request. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. 2+ years’ experience in Marketing, Event Management or related experience preferably in entertainment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and handle business relationships in a professional and confidential manner. Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Working knowledge of Ticketmaster/ TM One and SalesForce. Ability to work from both Capital One Arena and EagleBank Arena. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
