Position Summary SUPERVISES: On-Campus Counselor and Student Ambassadors (1 full-time staff; 50 student workers) BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for coordination and management of all on-and off-campus activities with prospective students and their families. Recruit, train and manage team of: On-campus Counselor, Student Ambassadors and Alumni Ambassadors and coordinate the staffing of all campus tours for prospective students. The Associate Director will travel to all areas as needed to assist in the recruitment and enrollment of students. The Associate Director will assist in the management of all aspects of the Admissions office as assigned by the Director. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the implementation of the undergraduate & graduate recruitment plan by managing on-campus activities. Interview, train and supervise: On-campus Counselor and Student Ambassador work force of 50 work-study employees. Develops and manages all (50+) on-campus and online recruitment events in relationship to applicants and admitted students. Manage on-going Admissions projects related but not limited to: Online information sessions Management of crowd raising Management of Admissions Social Media accounts Post event follow up Interviews, trains, supervises and assigns tasks to Alumni Ambassadors including assigning college fairs Develops and oversees execution of campus visit program including but not limited to all scheduled tours for prospective families and large groups Admissions point person for professional organizations such as National Portfolio Day Association Collaborate and work with Associate Director of Transfer Students and International Admission around on and off campus event planning and staffing needs and liaise with other departments as necessary. Counsels prospective and admitted students and parents about undergraduate admissions. Attend all Admission Office sponsored events as assigned. Maintain membership in professional organizations such as National Portfolio Day Association & CIVSA Other duties as assigned. Review admissions applications and portfolios Inputting of merit scores Work closely with operations around database management Attend off campus recruitment events as needed Serve as a primary contact person for other professionals seeking information about SAIC.
