We are seeking an organized and enthusiastic professional to act as our College Events Associate. This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of events and programs across all three of Wonderful Education's college access programs: College Prep, Agriculture Career Prep, and Wonderful College Prep Academy. The College Events Associate reports to the College Programs Logistics Manager. This role will assist in the coordination of logistics for all college program events including critical college exposure experiences such as overnight college visits and college camps. Events range from large scale events for 300 + attendees to smaller scale workshops and specialized events for 10 or less attendees. Here's what you'll do: Assist with on the ground operations during college readiness activities such as tutoring, test prep, financial aid, college application workshops, home visits, parent workshops and informational meetings. Assist with on the ground operations during college visits including liaising with college staff, overseeing large scale group events such as meals, and ensuring daily needs of students and College Team staff are known and addressed. Support the College Programs Logistics Manager by designing, developing and managing systems, protocols, and procedures to maximize team efficiency at college events. Track the input of information related to key performance indicators such as student enrollment, budgeting, and event feedback and create reports summarizing collected information. Support the manager with the implementation of marketing strategies to increase student and parent participation in college events Support families and students through effective and courteous communication Complete general administrative, logistical, and manual tasks as needed Here's what you'll bring to the table: At least 1-2 years of experience assisting with cause-related events, student events, or supporting events in a similar environment. This role requires frequent travel throughout the San Joaquin Valley. Candidates must be able to work mandatory overnight and weekend shifts when required, and be available to work a minimum of two rotations during our annual overnight summer camps (rotations last one week). Ability to prioritize demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain reliable organizational systems. Ability to communicate effectively and deliver a high-quality customer service experience to parents and students. Ability to track data, create advanced Excel formulas, and create reports within the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
