Job Description: The Manager, Operations, Entertainment Partnerships & Events is responsible for managing the successful execution of all logistics and operations for the Entertainment Partnerships & Events team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas. The successful candidate is responsible for monitoring, tracking and producing effective budgets, schedules, and analysis as well as key operational reports to ensure achievement of Entertainment Partnerships & Event’s operating objectives, goals & KPIs in support of organizational strategic goals. As well as, provide day-to-day leadership & direction to ensure that the team is meeting and exceeding service objectives through effectiveness & efficiency, while providing a positive experience for World Vision Canada (WVC) artists, partners and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Provide input into the strategic planning process for the Entertainment Partnerships & Events team and formulate strategic and operational objectives; this includes planning for management of staff and resources to ensure the strategic priorities of the Entertainment Partnerships & Events team and the organization are met. • Develop and implement operational and tactical plans to meet the objectives of the Entertainment Partnerships & Events strategic goals. • Execute monthly and quarterly reviews of strategic objectives and plans to ensure maximum efficiencies, that all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way, and that the Entertainment Partnerships & Events Operations team goals are achieved. • Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to project execution, customer service, or logistical issues. Communicate customer issues with Operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints. • Work closely with Director and Entertainment & Events (E&E) team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transfer of knowledge of the E&E operational processes and procedures. • Lead the development and implementation of customer-service standards and service level agreements for the Entertainment Partnerships & Events team in collaboration with the Director and Operations Team. • Act as the team lead for all analysis and improvement of inter-team processes, and lead the improvement of quality, productivity and efficiency. • Manage budgets and forecasts, perform quality controls and monitor Operations team KPIs. • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Entertainment Partnerships & Events Operations Team to ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs), KPIs and other key performance targets are met and exceed and facilitate alignment with the new core competencies to ensure team goals are met. Desired Skills & Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Business Administration preferred • 3-5 years of proven work experience as operations manager or similar role • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management • Experience in forecasting and management of budgets & KPIs • Expertise in workforce management and planning • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite • Knowledge in the execution of fundraising events with a proven track record of best-in-class attendee experience • Demonstrated organizational, planning, financial, and communication skills • Proven ability to motivate and inspire a team through honesty, confidence, commitment and creativity Application Deadline: May 24, 2019 We bring life-saving support in times of disaster.
