Job Overview This is a newly created position where the candidate will work with TerraCycle and Loop internal teams to manage speaking engagements and conference attendance by staff based in the U.S. headquarters and London office. Working with internal teams, this person will determine where we want representation (speaking, displaying, or both), who should attend and whether we are maximizing the opportunity while minimizing costs. Will negotiate with conference organizers on all aspects of TerraCycle presence including keynote and plenary speaking to panel and breakout sessions, location, physical size and set up of booth space and obtaining attendee and media lists in order to set up bilateral meetings and press interviews. Will project manage calendar, staff attendance, accommodations, shipping of materials. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for managing the calendar of speaking events and conferences for the U.S. headquarters and UK office. Responsible for all aspects of physical representation at conference (i.e. booth kit, space negotiation, set-up, collateral items, etc.) Work with conference organizers to negotiate cross functional opportunities Work across lines of business to determine available opportunities at conferences Ability to prepare a budget based on determined conference schedule and ensure adherence Ability to see the big picture and meet objectives in all stages of meeting planning, coordination, and implementation. Develop a deep understanding of TerraCycles lines of business in order to advocate for them at conferences and to represent them on site if necessary Provide quality control, troubleshoot and make sure visual communication and company standards are met Requirements/Skills Proven event management experience Highly organized, having strong work methods in planning and project management Ability to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion Exceptional verbal, negotiation and written communication skills Experience working with different personality types and cross-discipline teams Ability to oversee multiple projects independently.
