Job Level NV-09 The person in this position advises Desjardins Group functions and business sectors with respect to organizing and producing events that help promote Desjardins Group. The incumbent analyzes the clients' needs and objectives and develops customized service offers. General Information on the Position The Event Planner will be an enthusiastic professional with an aptitude for special event and conference management. The candidate will be providing outstanding customer service, and be able to build strong relationships quickly with internal and external customers. As an event planner they will: Plan, coordinate and execute large-scale events including incentive programs and operational meetings; Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff make décisions about event possibilities; Propose recommendations to improve the event planning and implementation process; Conduct post-event évaluations to determine how future events could be improved;  Keep abreast of meeting management standards and trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field 4 years of relevant experience Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading, and speaking Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision Strong time management skills Proven track record for  successful negotiations with vendors (event space, hôtels, food and beverage, supplies, etc.) and execution of large-scale events.
