The Life of our Private Events Supervisor: Report directly to the Private Events and Wine Experiences Manager, and work closely with the culinary and Private Events Team Deliver an amazing culture and work environment Lead preparation, set-up and take down of special Private Events and Concerts; Execution, floor based position Work collaboratively with the Private Events Team to create a seamless and memorable fine dining experiences Adhere to and communicate event plans and instructions to ensure timely completion of events Develop, coach, train, and motivate team of employees with the support of the Private Event and Wine Experience Manager Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when representing the winery on- or off-site Grow and demonstrate an in depth knowledge of Mission Hill products, both culinary and wine, through attending daily briefings, educational programs provided and personal self-development What We’re Looking For: Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Banquet Captain or Supervisor 2-3 years of food and beverage service experience in a fine dining environment Open and flexible schedule for the duration of the season Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including repetitive lifting of 30-50 lbs, being able to stand for extended periods of time, as well as navigate stairs Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout the season Current Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right Certifications or willing to obtain Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in B.C.
