Marketing and Social Media Officer Ottawa Campus Part time R116107   Reports to: Manager, Corporate Training Centre   Department: Corporate Training Centre (Muriel Richards (On Leave))   Position Type: Part-Time Support   Salary Range: $24.58-$28.57-Hourly   Sc heduled Weekly Hours: 24   Anticipated Start Date: August 06, 2019   Length of Contract: N/A   Posting Information Employees who are part-time internal candidates, as defined by the Part-Time Support Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.   Posting Closing Date: Please note: jobs are posted until 12:01 am on the job closing date.   Job Description: Under the administrative direction of the Manager, Corporate Training Centre, the Marketing and Social Media Officer of Algonquin College Corporate Training (ACCT) plays a key role in planning, development and implementation of ACCT’s strategic marketing and social media initiatives to increase brand awareness and support business growth.  The incumbent assists in identifying the marketing and social media needs of ACCT and ensure alignment with the College’s overarching strategic plan and departmental direction. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining statistical data related to tracking and conversion for the effectiveness of marketing programs from lead generation, to client engagement, to sale using tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager. A strong writer, the incumbent is responsible for the ACCT website and seeks ways to improve design and marketing impact.  He/she creates and maintains marketing collaterals for programs, services and promotions, and coordinates all external and internal marketing events.  An experienced practitioner in marketing, social media and digital marketing, the incumbent remains current on best practices and liaises with internal/external sources of knowledge and experience for the unit to take advantage of relevant, emerging approaches and technologies. The incumbent should have an understanding of Google Ads and Analytics, use of goals and sales/marketing funnel conversion tactics. The incumbent works closely Management and Sales team on new approaches and initiatives to increase marketing reach and support sales performance.   Required Qualifications: Minimum of a  three (3) year diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media & Design, Web Development or a related field; Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the following areas: Marketing Social Media Communications planning and execution Content creation Event Management Project Management Web, digital and print production and graphic design best practices Client Relationship Management (CRM) software Experience with various technologies that monitor and measure impact of marketing initiatives and activities Multi-tasking and simultaneous coordination of numerous projects/initiatives Assigning and coordinating the work of others   Demonstrated ability to work well within tight timeframes and deadlines; A strong team player with ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams; Knowledge of Algonquin College Corporate Training business would be an asset.   Algonquin College values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer.
