Event Server, Event Support, Cooks Assistant The Farm Earth to Table The Farm is seeking enthusiastic and polished candidates who are passionate about providing guests with incredible service and memorable occasions. The Farm hosts weddings and special events in our barn, and is also a working / teaching organic farm. We are hiring Event Servers, Event Support and Cooks Assistants. This is a seasonal job and requires working Friday and Saturday nights until 2am or later. Transportation to and from the Farm is a must - it is located near Clappison's Corners - 15 minutes from Hamilton and Burlington. Event Server The Event Server is a key member of the Events Team. Event Servers are responsible for accommodating all guests at the function while circulating the room. Anticipating the needs of our guests and responding politely to their requests. The Event Server will assist guests by refilling their water glasses, offering coffee/tea, refilling wine glasses, and serving their meals and clearing everything in a timely manner. They work closely with all the other Events Staff to other to ensure the efficient operation of the event, and to provide an extraordinary guest experience. Event Support Special Event Support plays a key role on the Event Team. Their purpose is to directly assist the Events Team in a variety of tasks. They may be required to lift and carry furniture and décor items, drive a golf cart with passengers, set-up, operate and troubleshoot AV equipment, set linens and settings on tables and any variety of other tasks to support the smooth running of the department. Cooks Assistants The cooks assistant is and important role in the Event Team. They assist the chefs with preparing, heating and serving various types of food. They carefully weigh, measure and handle ingredients and pay great attention to hygiene and cleanliness of the work area. They take pride in preparing delicious meals for our guests.
