Team Lead, Corporate Events Reference : J0119-0338 Job Location : Montreal, Quebec, Canada Job Category : Marketing / Communications Description: The Team Lead, Corporate Events will be report into the Corporate Events team and be responsible for the planning and production of industry tradeshows, corporate events, roadshows and special events for Genetec. Reporting to the Corporate Events Manager, the candidate will provide planning and logistical support and will also coordinate with sales, product marketing and R&D, as well as other divisions within the organization to execute on exhibit and event needs. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Events, the ideal candidate will be very well organized, and detail oriented to ensure the delivery of flawless industry & corporate events that support the company’s objectives. Responsibilities: • Assist with management and coordination of corporate tradeshows with the assistance of local/regional marketing resources (tradeshow list to be determined at the beginning of each fiscal year) o Assure that event presence supports the overall Marketing strategy and goals o Enhance tradeshow properties, update with new technology and innovations o Identify opportunities, sponsorships, promotions for marketing and sales o Manage relationships and cost negotiation with booth contractors, suppliers and vendors o Manage staffing, logistics, operations, schedules and production • Assist with management and coordination of all major Genetec corporate conferences for Channel and End User o Interface between agencies and internal Genetec staff for conference execution o Oversee all logistics with support from regional marketing team as appropriate o Identify cost-savings with corporate vendors • Assist with the development and maintainenance of corporate event guidelines related to branding, messaging, booth property and lead processes o Work with Product Marketing and Graphic Design teams for corporate branding and key messaging o Manage show/event vendor relationships with hotels, convention centers, exhibit houses, contractors, labor, and organizations o Work with Inside Sales, regional Marketing and HQ to ensure firm processes for lead management and follow-up after events • Manage the Tradeshow-in-a-Box (TSIB) program o Oversee design and construction of new TSIBs and requests from regions for additional TSIBs o Work with Technical Marketing and Strategic Alliances to determine software and hardware configurations o Develop and manage TSIB program guidelines o With Technical Marketing, develop and maintain TSIB operation instructions Requirements: • Bachelor degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline. • 3+ years of experience managing and coordinating events • Experience managing external vendors and negotiating costs • Strong attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple competing projects and deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with cross-functional groups • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite • Knowledge of CRMs, data management, and email marketing an asset We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only selected candidates will be contacted.
