Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Production & Events) Job Locations US-NY-New York Brand Viacom iCIMS ID 2019-11350 Overview and Responsibilities Our Strategic Sourcing Team is growing. As the Manager, you will focus on driving global sourcing activities and initiatives across our Film and TV Physical Production, Studio Operations, Tentpoles, and Special Event vendor spend portfolios. You will be responsible for building and handling relationships with key vendors and Viacom business owners. You will develop and implement global sourcing strategies and initiatives, drive cost savings and identify and impact efficiencies within the respective departments supported. Deliver ongoing annual reduction and cost efficiencies on sourceable spend within production categories You will be responsible for handling numerous strategic initiatives across all steps of sourcing process in a wide range of categories We will work together in vendor evaluation and selection; lead selection process and negotiations, recommend strategies that maximize value for the company You will lead negotiations with vendors, in collaboration with Dept Director and key partners. Establish and maintain close working relationships with client business units You will execute contract renewals and new contracts while negotiating the best possible terms and protecting Viacom’s standards Be a credible, sought after valuable partner to business partners to help them meet their objectives faster and at lower cost Continuously capture business intelligence on category-specific sourcing best practices and summarize and share information with team Work within a team environment to achieve established common goals and deadlines Find opportunities for strategic sourcing and negotiations in spend such as leveraging large spends, conducting RFPs and renegotiating existing and/or expiring contracts Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree You have 5 years of prior sourcing experience, preferably in Production related areas but CPG, Finance or Pharma experience is valued You are proficient in Excel Additional Qualifications You preferably have Media/Entertainment industry experience working for a similar organization and/or studio You have the ability to engage with a wide array of personnel – Executive level to assistants, vendors, partners Consistent record of cost reduction and productivity improvements Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects in a dynamic environment Strong written and communications skills Professional dedication to excellence #LI-ND1 We’re an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
