Toronto: Logistics Coordinator Application Deadline: May 29, 2018 Overview: The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role as a member of the Facilities team, providing operational and logistical support across the organization, particularly for the Hospitality and Events operations at Evergreen Brick Works.  They will collaborate with the Events team and assist in all aspects of set up and breakdown of events, including, but not limited to deliveries, waste removal, cleaning, and other logistical needs. Key Responsibilities: Liaises with Hospitality & Events operation team to ensure adequate staffing and resources for all stages of event planning; Track and inventory utilized machinery, equipment and supplies, ensuring they are returned and stored in a clean, safe and functional standard; Formulates plans to carry out work orders from large events and programming setups to tear down and housekeeping; Monitors event and activity calendars and work orders to manage staff and materials for supporting these activities; Liaises with external labour companies, Supports Facility team as required Acts as the Duty Manager on occasional weekends, ensuring that all activities are well managed, site visitor concerns are addressed, and that site conditions (cleanliness, health & safety, etc.) are met; Serves as a key member of the Flood Management Team; Position Specific Competencies:  Analytical/Decision Making/Problem Solving skills. Guidelines: Reporting Relationships: Supervised by: Facilities Manager Supervises: Temporary Workers Qualifications: 2 - 4 experience in logistics coordination Demonstrated experience in hospitality or similar service sector Proven ability to deliver in a project management environment Proficiency with computers, web-based applications and office software required Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act Valid class ‘G’ driver’s license an asset Working at heights and areal work platform certification, knowledge of forklift operation are assets Working conditions: 32 – 40 hrs./week with flexibility Most shifts will be evening/night Weekend work is focused on Event Logistics and Duty Manager shifts Able to endure rain and other inclement weather conditions Working indoors and outdoors with diverse groups of people Evergreen Brick Works is located in a flood plain of the Lower Don River.
