The Fraser Institute is looking for a Senior Event Coordinator to join its Education Programs team in Vancouver—this is a phenomenal opportunity for a highly organized individual with a background in event management and a keen interest in public policy. Reporting to the Director of Education Programs, this position will plan and execute a diverse set of programs aimed at university students, high school students, teachers, and journalists across Canada. The position is ideal for an innovative, adaptable individual, who exercises mature judgment, who can anticipate project needs, can discern work priorities, and is capable of meeting program objectives with minimal supervision. Here’s what you’ll do: Plan and execute all aspects of education events targeted at teaching students, teachers and journalists about economics and public policy. Execute every event, from start to finish, to the highest standard, providing an excellent experience for all participants. Assist in creating the annual line-up of speakers and topics related to policy. Work with a fast-paced, highly productive, results-oriented team. In conjunction with the team, look for opportunities to further develop and improve programs. About you: Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in events/programming. You have a degree in Economics, Political Science or similar; or your degree is in another field but you have experience delivering youth programs and you are interested in policy issues.
