In this position it will be critical to be a team player, working in cross-functional teams in supporting internal and external requests with, budgeting, execution, team and vendor management, analysis and reporting. Role Description: We are looking for an experienced Event Associate to create, manage and execute events taking place in/around our urban campus. This includes all elements in creating the best experience to include but not limited to directing and coordinating technical and production aspects, securing space, rental equipment, catering needs and timeline budget management. Your experience with hospitality and event planning along with experiential design and delivery will be pivotal to growth and success in this role. The Event Associate will report to the Senior Events Manager. This position can expect direct interaction with executives, customers, partners and employees “our Ohana” to lead planning efforts, development and execution of events and the attendee t experience in support of Salesforce’s HQ campus. This individual will work closely with hospitality, facilities, projects team and marketing teams. Duties and Responsibilities: The position is responsible for the operational success of events and attendee experience including but not limited to: Consult with client on their event goals, objective and vision of success Organize logistics, from beginning to end, for receptions, dinners, Town Halls, etc. Ensure tight alignment and seamless execution with key matrix organizations (ex. Office of the CEO, Salesforce Innovation Centers, Office of Equality, Executive Assistants, etc) Handle all attendee and employee interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, ensuring we are always managing expectations Understand Salesforce brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging Communicate regular event updates to management including Executive leadership Help to maintain up to date team documents and or playbooks Comfortable presenting event plans in front of all levels of team members including Senior Leadership Pre, onsite and post event logistical management Key Stakeholder for G-Cal calendar management for event space Help to determine event goals, create and track measurements and metrics of success Manage vendor relationships (agencies, vendors, caterers, etc.) and work with internal teams; Sales, Real Estate creative team, Facilities, Employee Engagement, Salesforce.Org and Office of Equality to support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute programs Research and recommend innovative and creative event options and entertainment based on program format and budget Required Skills: 5+ years successful event management experience planning customer-centric events, preferably in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment.
