Your Job   

In the role of Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for both event coordination and supporting marketing initiatives within the Western division. This is a key position that supports the company’s brand and image, influences growth, increases employee engagement, and achieves overall business strategies.

This is a 14 month contract position providing marketing and events coordination and support to our Western Sales and Business Development team.

 

Your purpose is to:

  • Simultaneously coordinate and plan multiple internal and external events within the Western division over four provinces. This role does require some travel.
  • Support the senior marketing consultant to develop integrated, clear, and concise marketing materials for employees, customers and brokers that will achieve results.
  • Ensure marketing materials that are available to stakeholders are relevant and updated, especially those on digital platforms.
  • Support logo and brand management. Oversee requests from various stakeholders providing direction and guidance on the use of the logo and brand.

       

Your Skills

  • Have a solid understanding of event budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
  • Ensure regular communication with both internal stakeholders and external vendors while coordinating events, and ability to anticipate needs and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Review client documents to ensure all key information is correct prior to submitting for production (i.e. image sizes, correct links, character counts, content)
  • Update digital tools and platforms that house marketing materials and resources.
  • Update team members and leaders on status and progress of projects and events, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to meet deadlines with deliverables
  • Ensures customer satisfaction for both our internal and external partners

       

Eligibility to work in Canada

Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the work term. Proof of eligibility for temporary roles may come in the form of a Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship certificate, permanent residence card or confirmation and/or a Canadian work permit, which authorizes you to work for the duration of the assignment.
