The Communications Director develops PuSh’s annual integrated marketing strategy, leads and implements communications and marketing initiatives, including: researching and writing copy for the Festival Program Guide, working with the Festival graphic designers and other outside vendors, hiring and managing the communications staff, managing social media initiatives, and managing the festival communications budget. The Communications Director reports to the Managing Director and works closely with the Artistic & Executive Director and the Development Director.
You will be a member of the senior management team, working closely with the managing director and artistic & executive director to develop strategic priorities for the organization. As a senior manager, you will represent the PuSh Festival at meetings and events, and conduct presentations, for key stakeholders. The role is supported by, and responsible for managing, one year-round coordinator role, as well as independent contractors and suppliers.

You have experience with communications and marketing for a nonprofit arts organization. You pay attention to deadlines and have top-notch computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Photoshop, WordPress, and digital marketing platforms. You have a minimum of three to five years experience in communications and marketing.
The PuSh International Performing Arts Festival is one of Vancouver’s signature events. Produced over three weeks each January, the PuSh Festival presents groundbreaking work in the live performing arts.
With an average annual budget of $1.8 million, our yearly sales revenue target is $200,000.

This is a permanent, full-time employment position. Salary range is $48,000 – $52,000 and compensation package that includes extended health benefits.
