Golf Event Sales Coordinator (Full-Time)


DEPARTMENT: Sales, Marketing& Events

SHIFT: All Shifts – Various (Morning, Afternoon and Evening, including Weekends and Holidays)

REPORTING TO: Director of Sales/Marketing & Events


JOB SUMMARY: To focus on maximizing sales for Angus Glen Golf Club by working with the operations teams and ensuring a high quality end product through the processes of planning, scheduling, making phone calls, sending e-mails, doing proposals, preparing contracts, upselling, managing details, preparing for events, being available at all times, following upand clearing up invoices/receivable questions with Accounting.

The job expectation is to take the event planning stages up until the event day where (internal) operations team executes the day of detail and runs the event.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with Management of Golf Event Budget
  • Actively grows business from business, re-signs returning accounts, and researches and creates new leads
  • Manages Golf Event Schedule
  • Prepares update for Director of Sales of all Golf Event related Sales
  • Prepares Golf Event Proposals, Manage Proposals
  • Initiates Golf Event Detail flow with Director of Sales through the **Opportunity Section of Salesforce
  • Prepares all Golf Event Contracts, Closes Sale, Retains 1st Deposit by Scheduled Date
  • Informs Director of Sales of Closed Won Opportunity
  • Coordinates Up-sell and Detail Event Meeting, with Event, sends Event Checklist to Event
  • Coordinates startup of Event (Banquet Event Order/Golf Checklist) and informs Director of Sales
  • Coordinates Event Detail (Banquet Event Order/Golf Checklist) with Event
  • Inform Director of Sales and Operations Team of any Major Event Revisions
  • Coordinates final Event numbers with Events and informs Director of Sales
  • Informs Client of Day of Tournament Assistant and Front of House Supervisor
  • Administrates final Event numbers with Front of House /Back of House
  • Prepares final (Banquet Event Order/Golf Checklist) and sends final forms to Front of House /Back of House and Golf Operations
  • Sends final 4some list to Reservations
  • To be made accessible, to any operations staff and questions
  • Follows up with Event—day after



  • Minimum of two years’ sales experience in a related environment
  • College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality
  • Exposure to high-end golfing facilities an asset
  • Have knowledge of golf course operations in planning and executing golf events
  • Experience with using Sales Force and Jonas system an asset
  • Be fluent in English with speaking, reading and writing competency
  • Positive, professional and enthusiastic demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible hours during golf season
  • Possession of a valid G driver's license
