The Recruiting & Admissions team for the full-time MBA program is charged with the development and implementation of marketing, recruitment and admissions strategies that will yield a highly qualified, large annual intake class within an extremely competitive domestic and international market.
Working under the direction of the Director, MBA Full-time Recruitment & Admissions area, the Program and Events Coordinator will provide broad marketing and event planning support and co-ordination to the full-time MBA Recruitment & Admissions team.
Duties and responsibilities include: the planning and implementation of events and other recruitment activities (MBA fairs, tours, presentations, panels, on-site visits, open houses etc) that support our marketing, recruiting and general outreach activities.
The Program and Events Coordinator will also be involved in such activities as direct mail, e-mail and social media campaigns and outreach activities.
A University degree or equivalent education and experience. Formal education in event planning is required. Education in marketing and communications and the use of social media will be an asset.
Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in event planning and program delivery. Knowledge or some experience in direct mail marketing or e-mail marketing is required. Comfortable working with databases and excellent customer service experience required.
Excellent project co-ordination and event management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Must be able to multi-task. Demonstrates sound judgment under pressure and stress, as well as the maturity and poise required to interact with mature MBA prospects. A team player with sensitivity to various levels of expectation from prospects, faculty, staff and suppliers.
