Hiring salary range
$55,264-$69,807

Position Purpose

Assists in planning all bilingual, French and English sociocultural and educational Community Life Service programming for the main and satellite campuses, as well as for the Carrefour Francophone. Responsible for operational coordination, logistics and execution of all programming activities. Helps support and enhance the mission, image and reputation of Community Life Services (CLS) among key internal stakeholders as well as among key members and groups outside the University.

Essential Qualifications

Postsecondary training in event management and planning, or a combination of related studies and experience
Knowledge of generally accepted social and University protocols and etiquette is an asset
At least three years’ experience in planning public events, including in the operational coordination, logistics and execution of such events
Experience in using computer systems and software such as word processors, databases, spreadsheets, email and Internet
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience, and demonstrated ability, in managing several projects at once
Proven ability to communicate and interact positively with a multicultural and diverse clientele
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent critical thinking skills, creativity and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays on a flexible work schedule
Valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle
Bilingualism-French and English (spoken and written)
