Position Summary

The Visitor Experience Specialist will play a critical role in creating strategies and implementing action plans to improve customer experience at visitor centers at NYU’s Washington Square and Brooklyn campuses, and across all other customer interaction points - digital, email, phones, face-to-face, etc. The person in this position will partner with the manager on the planning and execution of a broad range of events and programs at admissions centers across the University. The incumbent will be responsible for an ongoing assessment of visitor volume and customer experience, and will develop recommendations for aligning the experience with strategic goals of the Marketing & Communications team and Office of Enrollment Management. The Visitor Experience Specialist will develop concepts, campaigns, and strategies in consultation with the Marketing and Communications team that foster student satisfaction.


Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years experience in external/visitor relations, event planning or related field in the higher education, governmental, nonprofit, or corporate space. Experience providing customer service via multiple methods (phone, e-mail, live chat, face-to-face, postal mail, etc.) desired. Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years Experience with enterprise information systems, e.g. Slate CRM, EMS.
