Job Description:

The Project Manage for Conferences and Events reports to the Assistant Director of the Center for Reading Recovery and Literacy Collaborative, and is responsible for promoting and producing annual Literacy for All conference held in Providence, RI.


Essential Functions:

  • Works with directors and faculty to set goals, market events, recruit participants, train and supervise staff on tasks and technology tools to support high quality customer service and successful event.
  • Trains project coordinators to ensure efficient and effective processes, resource allocation and time management.
  • Communicates internally with high-level administrators and externally with superintendents, principals, teachers and vendors to provide information and problem solve.


  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Administrative experience including budget, supervisory and management experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, including overnight.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other event databases and organizational tools.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, problem solving, mentoring, customer service and being team player.
  • Ability to establish efficient systems to organize, manage and prioritize extensive workload with shifting priorities from multiple faculty and staff.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, does your visa status allow you to work at Lesley University.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cvent.

Additional Information:

Salary Grade 26: $68,766 - $94,897
