Event Operations Manager
What will you be doing??
This position requires a resourceful, self-directed individual who can assume the leadership of our Event Production Crew & Warehouse Lead.
The main focus for this position will be the hiring, scheduling, training, supervision & evaluation of Production crew & temporary staff. You will be organizing detailed, multi-level event logistics, managing shipping & receiving both in town & out of town, transportation of goods to events in a variety of venues, company vehicle maintenance, warehouse/inventory supervision & on-site event responsibilities. You will be responsible to ensure all Health & safety practices & training programs will be strictly adhered to both in the warehouse & on-site.
In addition, in your on-site role, you will be responsible for coordinating the pull, pack, delivery, set-up and strikes of assigned events. You will communicate with Sales Executives, EC’s & Team Lead to discuss logistics, timing, labour requirements, transportation requirements, new builds & prop assembly. You will execute safe & efficient packaging/wrapping of goods, loading, offloading, assembly, installation & dismantling of props, signage, stage, backdrops, drape, florals, furniture & decor accessories etc.
When will you be doing it??
As soon as possible. You will be working a variety of days, evenings & weekends…with the opportunity for overtime & travel.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
Experience in management, transportation & prior event experience is an absolute asset. Demonstrated ability to work independently & as part of a team. The ability to communicate effectively & professionally. Ability to plan, prioritize & organize tasks. A clean driving record & experience driving a Cube truck preferred.
