We are looking for a Community Events Associate with a passion for shopping at Giant Tiger and promoting our unique brand experience. We are looking for an individual who enjoys the challenge and fast pace of marketing. You must possess exceptional internal and external customer service, and a passion to propel the Giant Tiger brand to new heights.


  • Be a brand ambassador for Giant Tiger Stores;

  • Charged with the organization and execution of new store openings and community events;

  • Attend store and community events and be the primary contact for all event logistics;

  • Coordination of all store level charitable giving campaigns;

  • Maintain Tiger Train Calendar;

  • Organize all Tiger Train bookings;

  • Store level Public Relations;

  • Work proactively with stores on community event details and bookings;

  • Run the GT mascot program.


Key Qualifications
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset;

  • Post-secondary education completed in Public Relations, Communications or Marketing;

  • Understanding of social media platforms and campaign management;

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills;

  • Strong attention to detail;

  • Experience working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • Flexibility to work weekends/evenings;

  • Travelling required with overnight stays;

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs;

  • Valid driver’s license.

This position will require for the candidate to have their own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be available to travel with overnight stays where the business requires.
