What is the opportunity?

As Coordinator, Meetings and Events - Brand Marketing you will support the Meetings & Events team with the implementation of internal and external RBC events, conferences, and meetings on behalf of our internal partners.  You will provide a high level of event support ensuring quality service and professionalism at every interaction. With this role, you will learn in an agile environment where the team’s goal is to design and deliver best in class events that enhance the RBC Brand.


What will you do?

  • Assist with the execution of external RBC events, sponsorship events, meetings and internal conferences and meetings on behalf of internal partners. This includes, but is not limited to: researching event venues, on-site for Webcast or Webex support, registration desk support, additional logistical details as appropriate for each event
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships, including but not limited to RFP follow-up,  invoice processing, event reconciliations
  • Maintain Meetings & Events Team RBCnet website and RBC Connect websites
  • Communicate with internal partners and internal and external suppliers in a skilled a professional manner
  • Build and Manage online registration using the team’s online tools (Limelight, SurveyMonkey, Cvent etc.)
  • Provide administrative support as it relates but not limited to meeting planning; Print projects (Menus, Tent cards, and Name badges), RBC Event app etc; provide support with the teams travel and expenses where needed.
  • Manage Meetings & Events calendar, Bullfrog reports, Invoicing, team survey on Survey Monkey
  • Manage team metrics and present quarterly reports on progress and improvements


What do you need to succeed?


  • Degree/diploma or equivalent in event management or hospitality industry
  • 2+ years’ experience in meeting/event planning
  • Proven expertise with Event Management/Registration tools experience: Cvent, Survey Monkey, Limelight, QuickMobile App
  • Working experience with Request for Proposal procedures, rooming lists and BEO’s
  • Communication and verbal and written communications skills; strong customer service orientation; ability to interact effectively with senior level management.



  • Experience working in an environment with senior executives and managing their expectations 
  • Moderate level of discretion and professionalism
