Working with the Event Manager, SVP of Sales, Geo leaders, Executive leadership and the broader marketing team, the Corporate Event Planner is responsible for managing logistics and best practices related to trade shows and other events. In addition to being fully engaged in driving leads with events and event-related programs, the Corporate Event Planner will work closely with the Marketing Managers and Sales teams to execute prospect and customer events as well as MatrixCare’s presence at trade shows and conferences, ensuring a professional, well-branded event that drives new business opportunities as well as revenue from existing customers. The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen and knowledge of the trade show landscape to create events that drive lead generation and ultimately revenue. 

As our Corporate Event Planner, you will be responsible for:

(70%) Execution

  • Responsible for evaluating, coordinating, organizing and managing major marketing events for MatrixCare
  • Drive the creation of event marketing themes for each niche market for each year, with the assistance of the rest of the marketing team; and manage the rollout of the themes
  • Assist with MatrixCare’s Directions, the annual users conference
  • Maintain a streamlined process to handle state and regional events that will provide a scalable and predictable model for supporting non-national shows
  • Effectively manage all responsibilities related to marketing events – from evaluation, registration, internal communication, internal system setup, event preparation, setup and results tracking
  • Utilize Salesforce to track and report on leads, demos and related to events and event-related campaigns. Also, with help from the Marketing Ops team, use Pardot/Marketo to track campaign metrics and continuously improve event campaign results
  • Review current events and evaluate future events for consideration all with a focus on gaining better results from marketing event spend

(10%) Relations

  • Manage relationships with various associations, exhibit/shipping vendors and specialty item vendors in line with company guidelines

(10%) Budget and Planning

  • Establish revenue targets and other success metrics of events while monitoring and reporting on progress regularly. Manage events budget and make recommendations for cost savings
  • Analyze key marketing performance metrics on a regular basis in order to improve effectiveness

(10%) Knowledge

  • Maintain strong understanding of industry trends and competitor activities to assess the impact on MatrixCare event marketing
  • Contribute event info to department, senior executive and company-wide management reports

Skills and Experience needed for this position:

  • BA/BS, preferably in Marketing or Business, is preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a deadline-driven marketing environment, coordinating or managing projects
  • Experience in B2B marketing; software/technology products preferred, healthcare experience helpful
  • Event and tradeshow marketing experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in effectively managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with ability to multi-task and a results-driven mentality
  • PC skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required, experience with CRM/marketing automation (SalesForce/Pardot/Marketo) helpful
  • Knowledge of healthcare, technology or long-term care industry preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong/positive working relationships
