The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the oldest national civil engineering society in America, is currently seeking a Conference Senior Coordinator for our Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI) to provide support for T&DI conferences, meetings, and specialty events ("events").

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing timelines for events
  • Providing logistical and operational support to the assigned events
  • Supporting on-site events management, including vendors
  • Assisting in post-events reconciliations with vendors, speakers, facilities, committees, etc.
  • Working with internal and external marketing teams to assist with events communication and marketing
  • Providing support to Senior Manager of the T&DI technical and conference committees, and T&DI geographical and student chapters, as needed.
  • Updating and managing committee and chapter rosters

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in meeting planning
  • CMP or similar professional certification
  • Thorough proficiency with MS Office
  • Outstanding organization and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong customer service bent
  • Willingness and desire for frequent travel
