BluePearl Veterinary Partners is now hiring for an Events Manager to join our team in Tampa, Florida. The Events Manager is responsible for independently planning, organizing and overseeing events including conferences, retreats, clinics, and educational events. This individual is hands-on in all aspects of our events including, but not limited to, timelines, vendor management, logistics, booth production, shipments, hotel and travel. You must ensure that events meet the intended objectives, comply with deadlines, and fall within the budget. You will be onsite for the entire event to provide assistance where needed and ensure event success.
As an Events Manager, you will:
Lead execution of event programs of various size and scale.
Develop planning tools i.e. event calendars, budget, production schedules, event specs, meeting agendas, etc.
Create and track budget costs throughout the course of each event, including travel budget.
Clearly communicate any scope changes that may affect the budget to appropriate parties.
Partner with internal resources to support strategic planning, defining objectives/measurements, promotion, deploying, and staffing for each event.
Develop and manage vendor/freelance relationships to ensure best available resources.
Book venues, transportation, and accommodations ensuring the best rate and avoiding contractual penalties.
Adhere to brand standards ensuring company brand integrity throughout all events.
Identify appropriate displays and materials are on-site and work with appropriate parties to ensure timely set-up that adheres to budget and code/safety requirements.
Manage on-site operations at each event to ensure smooth processes.
Oversee staff assignments for each event.
Create and distribute event schedule/playbooks/booth etiquette guidelines to event team(s).
Coordinate and allocate payments appropriately.
Analyze event performance and distribute results.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
5+ years’ event management experience with at least 2 years in a position involving autonomously executing events for an organization of similar size, scope and/or complexity required.
Must be self-motivated, hands-on, highly organized, articulate, and possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Willingness to travel up to 75% (including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays).
Must have a positive attitude and be results-oriented.
