As a member of the Events & Conferences leadership team, the Assistant Director of Event Services oversees the daily operation of a team of events specialists who provide event planning and logistical support to external clients and University departments. This oversight makes certain that these events run smoothly and efficiently ensuring total client satisfaction. In addition to managing the Events Services team, the incumbent will also manage his/her own portfolio of events, including annual University events for which Events & Conferences has sole or shared responsibility.
Bachelor's degree in related field and five to eight years of experience to include customer service, hospitality or conference/event related experience; project and resource coordination; attention to detail; and effective interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills. Supervisory experience is a must. Ability to work evenings and weekends is required and holding a valid drivers license is preferred. RESUMES WITHOUT A COVER LETTER WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
