Description

Providing support to all Conference Event Managers (CEM), the Conference Event Coordinator is responsible for providing the supplier and resort information necessary to complete the Banquet Event Order, booking suppliers on behalf of the CEM, and providing general administrative support.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Daily change log reporting & and distribution of Guarantee Sheets to the F&B operational teams.
  • Administrative upkeep of group files – including preparing rooming lists, food & beverage guarantees, communicating last minute changes to lodging department, welcome package, etc, upon request of Conference Event Managers.
  • Create and revise Banquet Event Orders for CEMs and Wedding Sales & Service Manager when requested.
  • Review incoming Internal meeting requests, block meeting space and create BEO’s as required for execution of these meetings.
  • Administrative support to Banquet, Porter, and Resort Sales teams, as requested by Director, Sales and Conference Services.
  • Provide onsite support to Wedding Sales & Service Manager when requested – may include weekend work
  • Assist in-house conference groups when necessary. Includes shipping or packaging, photocopying, use of computers, business center use, message & fax delivery, etc.
  • Light cleaning duties in the Business Centre, such as garbage, recycling, vacuuming, dusting and replenishing supplies; maintain order and organization for guest facing area.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Level knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software (Excel) and Word Processing software (Word); plus some knowledge of Catering Software (Delphi) & digital signage program(s).
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
