 The Goods You’ve Got:

Project Management

  • Oversee / perform all duties related to planning and execution of a successful production
  • Prepare and manage project plans and timelines to ensure deadlines are met
  • Liaise with clients to determine objectives and vision; provide regular updates and progress reports
  • Create content, prepare & present proposals
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Lead and direct multi-stakeholder partner / supplier groups and internal team members collaboratively; meeting e=mc² events productivity and profit goals
  • Identify best resources (people and equipment) and incorporate their expertise to meet project objectives
  • Forecast and procure resources required for project objectives utilizing sharp negotiation skills
  • Develop and manage project budgets to meet the client vision and set prices and fees to achieve “e” financial goals
  • Recruit, schedule, train and supervise all on-site contracted staff
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills:  express ideas and agreements concisely and persuasively; oral and written

Creative Development

  • Listen to customer needs and check accurate understanding
  • Develop innovative ideas to meet those needs
  • Communicate vision, strategy and actions to achieve the ideas
  • Succeed creatively within time, resource and budget constraints
  • Problem-solve and clearly communicate to all stakeholders to actualize the plan
  • Lead creative brainstorm sessions with stakeholders
  • Innovate and come up with new, striking ideas that use minimal resources to generate maximum results

Business Development

Support the Business Development team in proposals and presentations expressively detailing our services and vision for the event

  • Interact professionally with clients and communicate information to event production team
  • Collaborate with Business Development to co-manage client relationships and financial agreements

 Leadership & Culture

  • Be a role model of e=mc² events’ standards; act in the best interest of “e” by upholding policies, procedures and values
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, sound judgment, team building and resourcefulness to establish and maintain collaborative, positive, and effective working relationships with multiple and diverse groups

 Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years of large event/conference management experience with extensive knowledge of all project elements
  • Event management or design certification from an accredited institution or other post-secondary event, design or marketing / communications education
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, time management and communicative skills required
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, change-prone, deadline driven environment
  • Proven strong client & supplier service skills including negotiation and timely communication
  • Self-motivated and able work with minimal supervision
  • Work evenings, weekends and travel out of town & internationally as required
  • Have a valid driver’s license
