Summary

The Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the seamless planning, marketing, execution, and promotion of resort events. This exciting position is at the center of a dynamic hub of activity and networks extensively with a variety of resort departments and outside partners, and is perfect for an outgoing and energetic people person.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the Events Manager in coordinating resort events and activities through development of event logistics and structure. 
  • Work closely with a variety of departments across the resort to facilitate their participation in event activity; collaborate closely with department supervisors to develop and follow event budgets.
  • Communicate details of upcoming events to all resort staff and ensure that event signage is readied and appropriately located.
  • Run and operate the Guest Service Desk when necessary. 

Requirements

Applicant must be a pro-active self-starter able to work autonomously as well as part of larger team. Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to accept constant challenge. Must also be an early-riser, and able to work outside in extreme weather conditions. Strong computer, guest service, and communication skills (verbal and written) are required. Technical requirements include knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of RTP, the resort POS system, is preferred. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalency degree. Bachelor's degree preferred. Work schedule requires weekends and holiday periods. Candidate must have a positive disposition, be able to work as a team player, and be able to deliver exceptional guest service. Position involves working both indoors and outdoors and will be working in an active lifestyle industry which requires the ability to walk up snowy/snow packed hill, maneuver on the hill while walking, advance skiing and riding required, work in all elements and work long hours outdoors in all conditions.
