BlueSnap is looking for a highly motivated, creative, energetic, and collaborative Event Marketing Specialist to participate in the development and execution of corporate event marketing programs. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with the BlueSnap marketing, sales, partner and leadership teams to develop and execute on the annual event plan. You understand what it takes to deliver successful events end to end, from securing prime booth placements to devising the right message to iron-clad logistics, while attracting visitors and creating engaging follow-up. This role will report to the Director of Marketing with significant exposure and the opportunity to develop with a fast-growing FinTech company.

This position is based in Waltham, MA.

In this role, you’ll

  • Develop the annual conference and event plan by analyzing prior events performance and aligning event selection with overall corporate and brand strategy and goals
  • Manage a diverse range of events with concentration in sponsorships, tradeshows and conferences
  • Work with external partners on joint event efforts
  • Negotiate rates, placement and offering with event vendors. Manage event marketing budget
  • Collaborate with internal creative designer to develop invitation, signage, collateral or other printed materials as needed for events
  • Define objectives, measurable goals, messages and timelines to deliver
  • Oversee events execution: bookings, budget, logistics, marketing assets, pre-event promotion, and post-event follow-up
  • Create effective marketing campaigns for all events to drive leads and increase brand awareness
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide event marketing support and promotion
  • Track and measure marketing program effectiveness

REQUIREMENTS

About you and the skills you’ll need

  • 2 – 4 years of relevant work experience in corporate event marketing
  • Track record of delivering high-quality, engaging events and conferences that drive leads, increase brand awareness
  • Naturally organized, energetic, and resourceful with a can-do attitude.
  • Able to work independently, manage projects with many moving parts and wear multiple hats
  • Ability and desire to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment -- under pressure, tight deadlines
  • Adept at leveraging technology to automate lead generation and tracking including event software, marketing automation tools (Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua) and CRM (e.g. Salesforce.com)
  • You understand what drives the business and are results oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate insight and ideas effectively
  • Ability to travel (20%) and work flexible hours
  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communications or related field
