The Associate Director for the Events Management team, Americas Regional Marketing, is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, measurement and reporting of customer-facing events in the Americas region (Canada, North America, South America).
The ideal candidate will have deep industry experience in managing a team of Event Managers and/or Trade Show Managers preferably in the Biotech, Pharma, or Medical Device industry and have a proven track-record of contributing to growth and ROI.
The candidate should have expertise in managing and budgeting for a high volume of events and effectively managing external vendors and internal stakeholders while establishing collaborative relationships. Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation, sourcing hotel venues, creating registration sites using CVent, managing programs on-site and compliance reporting (e.g. Sunshine Act) is paramount.
The ability to effectively motivate and provide strategic guidance to a team that is supporting a high volume of complex and fast-paced events in a quickly changing and high-pressure environment is critical. A can-do attitude, the ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment, lead cross-functional teams and the desire to drive operational efficiency are critical for success in this position.
