Summary

As an Events Coordinator, you will fill a support role to coordinate arrangements for catering/banquet services to groups with meeting room and catering needs, and overseeing the servicing of clients in the meeting market. Assist Director of Sales & Events, Event Sales Managers, and Event Planning Managers in obtaining customer satisfaction by performing clerical and administrative duties relating to guest and hotel communications through the sales and events team.

  • Have experience in sales, events or hotel operations and have knowledge of the local area. *** Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit a  proven track record of exemplary sales performance in other business fields with strong leadership abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and guest and employee centric management practices.***
  • Plan, upsell and detail events with clients fitting the 30/60/90 meeting market including: verification and modification of space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes, decorations, etc.
  • Work with Catering Managers to detail events and update banquet event orders (BEO’s).
  • Qualify incoming calls and determine which Sales or Catering Manager should be given the sales lead for follow-up with the client.
  • Prepare all outgoing communications including BEOs, thank-you letters, apology letters, proposals and contracts, and corporate welcome letters as requested by Catering Managers and deemed necessary for the 30/60/90 meeting market
  • Organizes information requested by Director or Manager for use in meetings and compiles data in an easily interpreted format.
  • Monitor and control individual event budgets and details to maximize revenues and minimize expenses while ensuring delivery of a quality product.
  • Maintain accurate records of business operations including but not limited to Develop and maintain client relationship and repeat business.
  • Provide a service culture that generates positive event satisfaction, sustained revenue achievement, excellent internal communications and team participation.
  • Handles special assignments/projects as requested by Director and management.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
