Development Officer, Events – 1.0 FTE Term Contract – (12 Months) Grande Prairie

Reporting to the Director, Events, Foundation, Alberta, the successful candidate for this role will demonstrate an ability to engage people and to create meaningful opportunities for donors to connect with STARS and our mission. You are passionate about fundraising, with above average organizational skills.  You are an eager and nimble team player who can navigate all sorts of challenges, whether it’s building positive relationships with colleagues, our stakeholders and our allies, coordinating multiple projects at once or coming up with STARS’ next big idea. The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a dynamic organization to find win-win solutions is one of your strengths.

The Right Stuff - 

Your resume should reflect your fundraising experience in the  community, and you might even be a member of a professional organization.  You have a post-secondary degree/diploma in communication, public relations, fundraising, events, or an appropriate combination of experience and education. You are computer savvy, and are comfortable with MS office and relational databases (Raiser’s Edge). Most importantly, you are a dynamic individual who is able to think strategically and creatively to grow the STARS brand in the Grande Prairie region. You are willing to travel and are able to work evenings and weekends.
