ƒß Coordinate and execute radio promos, radio remotes, in-store and mall events, contests and promotional giveaways with Sales and Media Partners?
ƒß Use your creativity to plan, implement and coordinate Public Relations efforts through media and charitable initiatives?
ƒß Support and create actionable advertising/marketing plans for new and current stores
ƒß Manage requests for home shows including booth graphics, print ads, email blasts and other marketing collateral?
ƒß Create agency briefs and internal sales memos?
ƒß Assists in the development of in-store marketing material, managing creative process and following up with agencies and vendors?
ƒß Manage corporate sponsorships and agency relationships in order to maintain an open and productive working relationship with all of our partners?
ƒß Liaise daily with various vendors, agencies, and internal associates in order to move projects and programs forward?

ƒß A University Degree or College Diploma in Marketing or a related field from an accredited institution?
ƒß 3 ¡V 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in retail or event planning?
ƒß Excellent Project Management skills?
ƒß A passion for event planning, coordination, production and execution?
„X Are you able to?
ƒß Act as central liaison between SCC¡¦s internal departments and Canadian media? You will be responding to incoming requests and organizing interviews.
ƒß Facilitate all corporate charitable initiatives, community fundraisers and various community programs on-time and on-budget?
ƒß Proactively seek and assess all marketing initiatives, and make recommendations on how to best build the brand?
ƒß Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills?
ƒß Bring forth highly developed interpersonal skills and able to influence and build relationships? You¡¦ll be working with our management team, internal and external customers and vendors
ƒß Execute marketing initiatives, evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs and making clear recommendations for future programs?
ƒß Meet strict timelines and adapt quickly to changing priorities
ƒß Work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
ƒß Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
From your first day in the Marketing department, you will be part of team that ensures that Sleep Country Canada is advertised and seen as the admirable and respected company that it is. Your key focuses as an Events and Community Marketing Specialist will include: Radio Promotions, Local Store Marketing, Events, New Store Openings, Sponsorships, Public Relations, Charitable Programs, and other marketing support functions. This role is responsible for executing marketing initiatives, building strong internal and external relationships, and making recommendations on how to best build the company brand with future projects. This position also requires excellent project management skills, strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple vendors/partners and strong people skills to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
