Event Planner Marketing Austin, TX, USA Concierge Auctions is seeking a full-time experienced and creative Event Manager to join our growing, global company. Reporting to the company’s Buyer Marketing Manager, the Event Manager will oversee and organize events that will make an impact to a target audience—project managing from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer service and organize memorable branded events that meet and exceed company goals and expectations both creatively and consistently. Above all, you have an innate attention to detail, ability to multitask and prioritize, understand marketing and promotion techniques, and have enviable operational, organizational, communication, and time management skills. Responsibilities: Ability to see the “big picture”, develop scope and requirements, and meet objectives in all stages of planning, design, and production Coordinate and lead all event logistics and activities (venue, vendors, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitations, marketing promotion, invitees/guest lists, etc) within time limits and on budget Plan events from start to finish with impeccable follow-through Prepare budgets and sponsorship activities for all events and ensure adherence Conduct market research, gather information, and negotiate contracts Source, book, and schedule vendors, suppliers, and personnel Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities Lead and facilitate promotional and marketing activities for events, collaborating with the PR Manager to promote and publicize Ensure events are smooth, proactively resolving any arising issues and offering solutions to troubleshoot in a timely manner Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction Learning nuances of different types of company events Track and allocate event expenses Analyze event ROI/success and prepare/submit/present regular reports Identify opportunities, research/understand the market, and articulately propose ideas to improve event quality and overall experience Support marketing team with other coordination tasks as needed Requirements Proven experience in event management Portfolio of successful events Excellent vendor management skills with an aptitude for building proactive business relationships Skilled in project management with ability to oversee multiple projects efficiently and independently Sense of ownership, pride, and enthusiasm in your performance and its impact on and contribution to company success Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office and Adobe Suite Critical thinker with proactive problem solving skills Customer service orientation A team player and leader Great interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organizational and time management skills Experience in acting as a company spokesperson Ability to work late hours and weekends and travel nationally and internationally, as needed Act in a professional manner expected in the luxury market Taking things from good to great (Maximizer) About You: BA degree in marketing, hospitality management, or a related field 3+ years industry experience Assertive, self-starter, and effective communicator Solid leadership and team collaboration skills Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and presentation skills; great people skills and professionalism in person, on the phone, and through email Thrives under pressure; acute ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities and requests Solid followup skills and a passion for hitting goals while maintaining consistency and company integrity Solutions-oriented/can-do, positive attitude Deadline-driven to a fault Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Suite Knowledge of Salesforce and real estate industry a plus Benefits & Perks: Frequent interaction with the company principals The opportunity to implement new systems and processes Competitive salary and company revenue-based bonus program Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits Wellness Initiatives Employment development opportunities Open PTO plan Collaborative and energetic work environment with other motivated, career-driven professionals Must Be Passionate About: Concierge Auctions’ Core Values (Cutting Edge, Composed, Committed, Agent Friendly and Making History)—both by your exhibiting these behaviors and being a champion to reinforce our Values in the hiring and performance management process.
