Events Manager Events – Vancouver, British Columbia The Role… The Monstercat Events Team is passionate about creating immersive and exciting experiences for our fans. We have a fantastic opportunity for a creative and experienced Events Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Events, the Events Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Events Coordinator and Events Intern as well as cross-functionally to conceptualize, execute, and market novel live experiences that achieve brand visibility and engagement with fans. Monstercat is in the exciting stage of growth and expansion to international territories, which requires an events professional capable of developing and managing an infrastructure which can handle large scale events and is conducive to a growing team. Further, the events infrastructure needs to encompass quantitative measures of success with an effective and transparent feedback loop to continually learn and develop. A key success factor for this role is managing relationships with major stakeholders, namely artists, management, agents, promoters, and business sponsors, always ensuring that all receive great value and a positive experience from working with Monstercat. This role can be based in our Vancouver, Canada or L.A., California office. What You’ll Do… Creative & Conceptual Conceptualise and execute new and exciting mediums to position the Monstercat live experience Liaise with the music team in our talent buying strategy Marketing & PR Work closely with marketing and design teams to create campaigns to drive event attendance and visibility in current and new markets Liaise with the apparel team for sales and promotion opportunities Execution & Delivery Cross-departmental planning and seamless event execution from start to finish with minimal oversight Be present at key events, ensuring brand standards are upheld and all stakeholders are welcomed and hosted Creation and management of event budget to ensure financial success Infrastructure Develop the road map to handle larger scale events Streamline processes to evaluate event performance on an ongoing basis, provide feedback, and develop internal systems for improvement Maintain accounting processes Stakeholder Management Travel to major international events, representing Monstercat and prospecting new opportunities Relationship management with Artists, Management, Agents, Promoters Sell sponsorship and manage relationships with sponsors About You… 5+ years’ track record leading medium to large scale events, preferably internationally or across multiple markets History of booking talent from major agencies, relationships with major agents and agencies Created and overseen multiple new event concepts/brands and marketing campaigns Broad knowledge of the entertainment industry specializing in dance music Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-based skills Proficient in spreadsheets and word processing (Microsoft Office and Google Apps) Valid passport and ability to travel internationally is essential Why Join Monstercat?
