The focus for the Partner Outreach team is to proactively engage and support the entirety of the diverse post-production community and partner-managed programs through marketing, advocacy, events, and training. By educating the post-production and VFX industry on roles, workflows, technical requirements, and best practices, Netflix drives new industry standards and provides direct support to original content creation. Our event goals are educating, building advocacy, enhancing partner relations, and aiding in sourcing talent for post production.
As part of the Partner Outreach group, you will:
Support the efforts of Netflix Post Production, the Netflix Post Partner Program (NP3), the Post Technology Alliance (PTA), and VFX teams through event management and implementation from initial documentation through measurement/data collection through final recaps
Facilitate business-to-business education via workshops, events, and training sessions
Work with cross-functional teams to run events and activations that allow us to educate creatives and internal teams on workflow and technology best practices for Netflix Originals worldwide
Locate, negotiate, and interact with event vendors and agencies
Engage external parties (vendors, production companies, industry associations and more) to adapt and better support Netflix’s production goals around the globe, helping our post-production partners through advocacy, education, and strategic initiatives
Support event integration logistics during film festivals, craft/technical awards, and creative industry events
Travel globally to support events and trainings in region
Qualifications:
8+ years of event planning experience in the entertainment industry, implementing events from initial vision through final execution
Experience project managing and leading cross-functional initiatives both domestically and globally
Familiarity with business-to-business event production
Ability to track spending and stay within budget
Strong organizational skills with an acutely detail-oriented approach
Ability to multi-task & pivot while working on varying degrees of deadlines & scope
Substantial time management and cross-functional communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in collaboration, productivity, and project management tools such as the G Suite, Splash, Asana, AirTable, Microsoft Office, etc.
Knowledge of post production workflows, sound and imaging technology and production practices a plus
Experience working with creative talent, technology/AV specialists a plus
Understanding of Film Festivals and/or Industry Awards a plus
Communicating in a language other than English a plus
