As an Events Manager, you’ll join an energetic and positive team that thrives on getting our outstanding products into the hands of as many faculty and students as possible. You’ll work strategically with marketing, product, sales and leadership stakeholders to plan, project manage and execute marketing events and trade shows designed to attract customer interest in our products. You’ll help drive brand awareness, generate demand and enable our sales professionals to close more business faster. Being data-driven, you understand the importance of events measurement and you’ll dive into our events and project management technology to track and maintain all financials, tasks, reports and results for Cengage hosted live events and trade shows and provide other financial and logistical reports as needed. Why not apply? Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Provide strategic online event management expertise to stakeholders during planning. Project Manage all aspects of online events and live event technology support from launch through execution to follow-up Manage online event budget Based on project, specific duties could include: Organize and communicate logistics for A/V, internet, etc. for presenters and attendees, including tech checks and rehearsals Create and maintain online registration sites for online events and the team’s live events (using Cvent) Create Customer Satisfaction surveys and templates for all events, live and online. Maintain and post invitations, monitor and record online events, edit and post recordings Maintain and post attendee registration and attendance data Skills You Will Need Here: Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Basic (Required) BA/BS degree 3-5 years of experience with webinar technology (Zoom or similar), Event Technology (Cvent or similar) and Project Management technology (Workfront or similar) 2-4 years of using online events to drive Brand Awareness, Demand Generation and Sales Enablement Exceptional project management skills with attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders in a fast paced and changing environment to meet deadlines Ability to multitask to meet deadlines, without breaking a sweat Ability to work independently—and with a sense of urgency Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to travel 2 to 4 times per year. Requires proficiency with MS Office and Office 365 and a mastery of Excel.
